The Beginner’s Guide to the Law of Attraction Techniques: Scripting & Gratitude

Welcome to my blog post! It is my law of attraction manifesting and goal setting guide for beginners. I got into manifesting at the start of 2014. I feel like it's just one of those things either you're into it or you're not into it and you completely don't think it's a real thing, and that's fine. So, for anyone who's going through a tough time or just anyone who wants to change things in their life in general, I would suggest starting to manifest. I feel like it's one of those things where you feel like you don't know what you're doing. It's just kind of all trial and error and getting to know it. I watched & read so many long-winded books and videos on manifesting, manifesting for beginners, it has been so long and I feel like it took me then so long to come up with the way that suited me. I just wanted to make this blog post to the point, concise, easy-to-read bish bash bosh with the key bits of info that you need on manifesting because honestly, I think I spent more time learning about how to manifest than actually manifesting. Yeah. So, here is my manifesto for beginners. Quick disclaimer: everything works for different people. So you can adapt anything in this blog post to suit you. My way of manifesting is based on loads of videos that I've watched and kind of compiled a way that suits me, and this is the way that suits me, so obviously you can change things up if you think something else might work for you. Let's not make this discussion any more long-winded than it needs to be and let's get into beginner's guide to manifesting. Let's go!

Some of you might be aware there are a few different types and methods of manifesting. I'm going to talk about one of them in this blog post that I use. It's all underpinned by the law of attraction, and the idea that where focus goes energy grows. So, you get back what you put out simply put. It's underpinned by the idea that the energy you put out is the energy that you get back. If you're interested in reading up more about that the law of attraction, I'd recommend the secret book.

There were two different methods I learned about when I was learning how to manifest: the three-six-nine method which is, in the morning you write out what you want three times, the afternoon six times, and even before you go to bed nine times; and, visualization. And then there's the method that I use. All the methods of manifesting that people talk about in youtube videos are all underpinned by visualization. You need to believe that it already happened and these are just different ways and methods of getting you to believe that it already happened and convince yourself that you already have what you want. The way I'm gonna be going through in this blog post is scripting. Now it's kind of my version of scripting. Scripting is that you write out as if you already have the thing. I adapted it a bit to just the amount I was able to believe. I found it very difficult to write something as if I already had it when I didn't. So I changed it up slightly so that it made sense for me and that's the way I believed it. But if you want to do the other method like if you're able to do that then do it. I'm going to be going through exactly how I manifest, shortly. The first thing you need to do is make a visualization board and know exactly what you want. This is key. You can't skip this step. You can't manifest when you don't know what it is that you want. Sometimes we just manifest like our dreams or rough things but you need to be specific with what you want. I did it on a google doc and just printed out and laminated my vision board. It's just that you're seeing what you want every single day and you're believing and keeping it in your head. This was one of the mistakes I made when I started manifesting. I didn't know exactly what I wanted. You need to really be very clear and make out exactly what it is that you want. It needs to be very very clear and specific. I did it a few different ways, I made a vision board, as in, I made a vision pinboard, and then I made this book do a vogue and kind of cut it out and then got quotes. And voila! My vision board was ready. I'm fully exposing myself now but I'm obsessed. Making a visualization board is step one of 100.

The next thing you need to do before you start manifesting is getting journals. Now, this is my favorite thing. I am obsessed with stationery. I love notebooks. I think they're gorgeous and I love getting nice ones. This is how I do it. The first one I have is for manifesting, like, I just write my manifestations and things in this one. This one is kind of for my feelings & memories. I would recommend having two separate ones. Some people go as far as only having one or two nice pens that they use just for manifesting. They feel like that helps them. I only use certain pens for manifesting, each to their own time-wise, I usually do it before I go to sleep. But if I'm going like full hand manifesting like I want something to happen or it's a full moon, I like to set up my desk, get my salt lamps going to really get the vibes. Haha, sorry it was only to lighten up the air.  Okay, let's get serious. The first thing I do is I start out writing the date in the top right-hand corner just so you can look back at all your manifestations that actually came true, which has happened for me. Then address your letter to the universe or whoever you're interested in addressing it to. I just say dear universe then underneath that you need to do gratitude.

Gratitude is so important about manifesting. It can't just be a letter asking for stuff. You have to thank for what you already have. I usually write five things I'm grateful for, thank you universe! four and five things I'm grateful for that day. It can be five things you're grateful for specifically that day or five things you're grateful for in general, friends, relationships, family, the list is never-ending.  And once you start being grateful for things and writing down gratitudes, you will realize there's an abundance of things to be grateful for every day. The first day you start you might struggle to get five. Now I could probably sit down and write 100 things I'm grateful for, easy without even thinking about it. It is that thing where once you start to notice the good, the good gets better 100 times. Thank you for and full sentences. You need to be really getting into the vibe. You can't just be rushing through. Five minutes before you go to sleep and then be as detailed as you want. And then I'd write thank you universe each time, it helps you get into that mind frame rather than just scribbling it down.

The next thing basically the idea is that you create what you think and you have to believe that you already have it, and you have to be very very specific with what you want. There are two ways you can do this, as I said, you can either write what you want as if you already have it so you can continue thanking the universe for it. But be very specific with what it is that you want. Imagine as if you already have it. My brain can't do that. I can't for example say you are manifesting a car. I just find it too hard to imagine like "Thank you universe!" for a car that I don't have. I write it out as "it would be nice if .." and then I go into such detail about exactly what it is I want. It can be whatever you want. You don't have to manifest something as basic as a car. If you want to manifest a text from a person, if you want to manifest a relationship getting better, if you want to manifest anything, a pay rise someone to come back into your life, as you can literally manifest anything. You just have to be specific and detailed.

I usually write then "It would be nice if .." and then whatever I want to manifest. I usually only manifest one or two things and go into extreme detail about what will happen, for example, if you want to manifest a text from someone, be so specific about when you want it, what you want it on, like all that sort of stuff, really believe that you are actually going to get it and it will happen. Write about having it. Write about getting it, about how you feel when you'll get it, point to as much detail as you want, as you feel like until you've actually visualized it as if it's already happened. The last thing you're going to do is thank you at the end and I usually say "Thank you universe! I trust your timing." Sign it off like a letter and that is how I manifest. That is how I've been manifested since march. To be honest, I don't manifest every single night. I do my gratitude every single night and I journal every single night. I don't technically manifest every single night. I manifest when there's a full moon and I manifest when there's something I want to happen.

Now it's time for the disclaimers on what you really need to listen to if you're gonna start manifesting. The first key with manifesting is to trust divine timing. When you're manifesting you can't come from a desperate standpoint and say okay if this doesn't happen by midnight tomorrow then manifesting isn't real, and they don't believe in it. You can't come at it with that negative mindset. Once you've manifested it, you need to let it go and surrender to the universe. If it's meant to happen, it will happen. Trust divine timing. You can't be attached to a particular outcome. You can't be attached to a particular time that it has to happen. You just need to let go once you've done it and trust. Leave yourself in the universe's hands, if you know what I mean, and you can't get frustrated with it because it just won't happen. The biggest question I was asked was: does it actually work? Have you found it? or have you any success stories about manifesting? yes, I do. I do believe it works. It worked for me. It got me out of a very hard place and it gave me a much more positive mindset. I do have stories. I don't really want to go into detail about the stories just because I know some people are like cynics out there and might just say "oh that's a coincidence". If you want to believe it, I think it will happen to you. It got me into a much more positive mindset when I was in a very negative mindset. I will always manifest things when I feel at a loose end and I feel like it gives you a bit of hope and things have happened for me that I have no explanation for other than that I manifested them. Since I started manifesting back in march I'm in so much of a happier mindset. I have had weird situations happen to me where I'll go like "how did that even happen?"

The next question was "do you use crystals?" No, I don't use crystals. I probably will end up getting there have stone and stuff and if it's a full moon I'll leave it out to cleanse or whatever and like I have my salt lamp and things like that but no I don't use crystals. Everything I know is from the secret so I would recommend reading the book. Someone asked: how do you find manifesting? I love it. It changed my life. I'm obsessed with it and I don't think I'll ever stop.
